Join REFORM Alliance’s Speaker Series for an unmissable conversation with Dr. Anna Kelles, the Assemblymember for New York’s 125th District and a visionary advocate for systemic change. Her district includes the metropolitan areas of Ithaca and Cortland, as well as 17 smaller municipal towns and villages in both counties.
As a champion for justice reform, Dr. Kelles will share with us her strategies for creating alternatives to incarceration and the linkages between public health and our supervision and criminal justice system. With a Ph.D. in Nutritional Epidemiology, Dr. Kelles has taught at Cornell and Ithaca College and directed programs focused on nutrition, sustainability, and economic development. Born and raised in Tompkins County, she brings both global experience and deep local roots to her work in Albany. Throughout her career in public service, she has been a strong advocate for affordable housing, public health, environmental protection, and justice reform. Dr. Kelles was first elected to the New York State Assembly in 2020, after serving on the Tompkins County Legislature. She has been a force behind meaningful policy change in Albany ever since.
Join us for this dynamic conversation with Dr. Kelles as part of our ongoing series highlighting bold voices working toward a fairer justice system.
